Visit Report

Dear Delanie & Rusty,

We look forward to working in your garden!

Below is where you will find the latest report from our last visit with you.

Most of the plants are spreading, growing and thriving.

There are some weed issues that need to be addressed. Most of the pine straw was flipped to expose emerging weeds and very wet straw.

3.5 – there was a lot of clover in all beds as well as some dollar weed creeping from the lawn into the beds
  • Light pruning and dead heading.
  • Removed A LOT of clover from ALL beds.
  • Removed Bidens Alba from all beds, especially Bed #1.
  • Pine Bark and Pine Straw were moved away from base or trunk of all plants and shrubs to improve ventilation.
  • Frog Fruit is spreading
    Simpson Stopper is robust.
  • 1 Porterweed has bright leaves emerging at ground level.
  • Salvia thriving and displaying red, white and pink flowers.
  • Large, thick black snake discovered under downspout drain pan in the east corner bed and a very small black snake discovered under downspout drain pan in north corner bed.
  • 2 Blue Porterweed showing no signs of new growth.
  • In the east round bed, dollar weed is creeping from lawn into bed running under the bark – needs regular edging.
  • Grass is creeping into the east corner bed, regular edging will manage.
  • In the north bed shared with the neighbor, light weeding is needed.
  • Northeast boarder with the water fountain, regular (every 2-4 weeks) edging by landscaper to prevent grass and turf weeds from creeping.
  • Discuss edging of beds with your landscaper to maintain crisp boarders and keep grass and weeds out of beds.

We will research the best method to eliminate crape myrtle suckers as they need to be treated well below the surface
